There has never been a more crucial time than 'Right Now' to begin taking care of yourself.
We've all encountered moments in our lives when we, or someone close to us, faced challenges with physical or mental health. It's crucial to take care of our well-being during these times.
It's common to seek help and support when life's challenges become overwhelming, to the point where it may seem too late to enhance our health and wellbeing.
It's never too late, but catching any signs of health concerns early can make a significant difference.
As an Occupational Therapist, my perspective on the world shifted during and after Covid. Life is a precious gift, and it's crucial that we care for ourselves and others. Self-care is frequently overlooked, yet the ability to offer support when it's most needed is significant to me. Established in 2023, Morven McLelland Therapies has afforded me the chance to pursue what I am most passionate about.
Morven McLelland Therapies provides a range of therapeutic interventions designed to improve physical and mental health, significantly enhancing overall function and wellbeing.
I offer a diverse range of Therapies some very traditional and others complimentary.

I am passionate about people and providing support , advice and treatments to be able to help people lives the lives they would like to be able to live.
Poor health, illness and disability can have such a profound and lasting impact on people, its hugely important to provide support and advice at this point of need.
When I was thirteen, my life changed suddenly with a diagnosis of Juvenile Chronic Arthritis. Until then, movement had been at the heart of everything I loved — horse riding, ballet, and playing in goals for my school hockey team. Almost overnight, the freedom I found in my body disappeared. Pain, stiffness, and fatigue took its place, and the world I knew became much smaller and far more challenging.
During a hospital stay in Glasgow, I met an Occupational Therapist for the first time. The experience was difficult in many ways, and it left a lasting impact. I remember thinking that people deserved more compassion, more understanding, and more support than I felt I received. Even at that young age, I knew that if I ever had the chance, I wanted to offer others something better.
That moment planted the seed for the work I do today. It led me towards a career in Occupational Therapy — a profession rooted in helping people rebuild confidence, restore function, and reconnect with the activities that give life meaning. Over the years, this belief has guided everything I do: that everyone deserves to be seen, heard, and supported to live the fullest life they can
I have spent the last 30 years practicing as an Occupational Therapist. However, the last 4 years have for most people been incredibly difficult and it was during this time I started to diversify in my therapeutic activities.
I began my Reiki training in 2019 and also practiced Meditation throughout this time. Latterly I have gained qualifications in Meditation and have found immense joy in not only practicing this but running groups to support people on a similar journey. I have completed Level I & II of my Reiki training and am almost complete in Level III training.
In 2023 I qualified as an Equine Facilitated Therapist and managed to to find a unique way of combining a passion of horses with my training as an occupational Therapist.
In 2025 I also became certified as a Mental Health First Aider.
In 2026 I completed a Yin Yoga 100 hour Teacher Training course and am starting to use this learning in classes each week.
I am a member of the Royal College of Occupational Therapists (RCOT) , I also hold membership with the RCOT Specialist Section - in Independent Practice (RCOTSS-IP) and the Allied Health Professions regulatory Body the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), I also a member of Equine Assisted Occupational Therapy - UK (EAOT-UK).
